Heading South

time to text Before I go too far, I’ll let you know that between now and March 8th (inclusive) you’ll find the writings of both me and Glenys, our intent is to share the responsibility of journaling the adventure that has been waiting for us …

As I sit here, one dude’s in the ‘queen’ bedroom watching tv, the other dude is hangin’ out on the couch with the two chicks watching tv, one chick is napping and the other chick is writing the start of this ‘journal’ of our trip. I suppose a questionnaire could be created, but it would seem that everyone is doing their own thing and wouldn’t be too interested in answering such a silly thing! So, in the mean time, I, the chick who’s started this journal, will sit and try and entertain any who would be interested in some random thoughts. Hold on! ‘cause I have a feeling you’re in for the time of your life.

supper at Casey'sWe started our trip by leaving Kitchener pretty close to our scheduled time of 5pm. We drove to Toronto/Mississauga and checked ourselves into the hotel of choice for the night not too far from the airport. As soon as we checked out the room we trekked off across the street (in the car) to have supper at Casey’s. While at Casey’s we set up an itinerary for the ‘order’ of washroom usage in the morning, our intent is to catch the 4:15 shuttle to the airport, so that we arrive at the airport as close to 4:30 am as possible. We then went for a short drive to be entertained by watching two planes land and then a Tim’s pick-me-up on our way back to the hotel. So, here we all sit – waiting for the party to happen still – but I sense that the real party will not begin ‘til tomorrow when the first steps are taken on the ship. ‘Til then … sweet dreams for any in this clan who will be blessed enough to catch a few winks between now and the wee hours of the morning!
